I love this list. I'm at the park frequently with having kids. I love hearing all the names here in England. Imogen also seems very popular.

Half of these are popular in the US, but from earlier generations - Ruth, Harriet, and variations on Kate for sure. Lyndsey (and all of its spelling variations) was a popular baby name from the 1970s to the 90s. There were about 10 Lindseys/Lindsays in my graduating class. But Gemma, Phillipa, and Siobhan are definitely rare names here.

Bonnie Rose, I have retroactively added Imogen to the list.

Correct on all counts, Hayley. The Social Security Administration website indicates that the popularity of these names fell significantly in the United States at different points in the past 50 years.

No wonder no one can pronounce Nicola. Emphasis is always put on the second syllable, making me sound like a caffeinated beverage. Sigh.

Philippa is spelled wrongly in your list.

I think of "Jodie" as being more American than British, but could be wrong.

Hi, VP.

Trust me, I did my research on this. Both "Phillipa" and "Philippa" are correct spellings.
