Interesting comparisons. But aren't the broadband figures way too low? Offcom (UK communications regulator) put it at 75% of households in 2012.

Only problem with this is the vast population differences and i don't think that has been taken fully into account.
ReplyDeleteHi, Jane. Virtually all of these statistics are written either as a percentage of the population, per capita, or per 100,000 people from each nation. So, the difference in population is irrelevant in most of these cases.
ReplyDeleteThe "date of formation" given for the UK refers to the treaty that united England and Scotland to create the Kingdom of Great Britain. However, other possible dates would be the 1800 treaty that created the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Ireland, and the 1922 Anglo-Irish Treaty that created the current state of the United Kingdom of Great Britain and ***Northern*** Ireland.
