For some, it might be the misuse of words such as irony or literally; for others it could be the confusion over there, their, and they're; and for many of my British compatriots it is quite often the American spelling of words such as color, meter, and, theatre.

It is so large, in fact, that 11 of its states separately possess a total area larger than that of the entire United Kingdom. British Expat: Why My Love of England Grew Stronger After Moving to the US

We've all heard the old adage "you never miss it until it's gone." While the geographic existence of England is certainly not in any doubt, I have not visited my homeland in almost 7 years. I last saw it via the window of an Air Canada flight bound toward North America—the continent on which I now reside. That day, I caught a final glimpse of England as the neighboring houses around Heathrow Airport grew smaller and smaller.

View from the Farce Side: America is Missing Out on Proper Easter Eggs

I have very mixed emotions when it comes to Easter. I certainly appreciate its religious significance. I’m very grateful for the 3-day weekend that it affords us. All good so far. It might surprise you to learn, then, that it’s the candy, of all things, that’s messing with me. You see, I have some very conflicting childhood memories, as well as some present day hang-ups when it comes to Easter and candy, or sweets as we call them back in Blighty.

Wal-Mart Buys $10.3m Advertising Space on Tower of London

US retail giant Wal-Mart today agreed a 2-year deal with the London Borough of Tower Hamlets to project advertising campaigns on the south side of the Tower of London.
