Americans love to stereotype me. One hint of my British accent and immediately they are moved to ask what the deal is with tea and crumpets.

But like a lot of stereotypes, the punishment sometimes doesn't fit the crime. I'm no more a tea-and-crumpets guy than all Americans are loud.

  4. The polite gene is real, though. For the life of me, just cannot switch it off. Beans on toast, Yorkshire Pudding and Spotted Dick ... make fun of the name, but please try it. Oh so good! Birmingham has won accolades of 'good eats' awards ... Ta-ra for now!
