Me and Tarah

In this latest episode of Remembering America, I take a look back at some of my visits to the state of Ohio. Since all of my experiences of the Buckeye State comprise only the western portion, where do YOU think a Brit like me should visit next time I'm in the state?

  1. Hi Laurence. Randomly came across this blog post. I'm originally from a town an hour west of Cleveland. If you ever take another trip to Ohio, I vote for Cleveland. Be sure to check out the Westside Market in the Ohio City neighborhood. The area immediately surrounding the market has several good breweries, and if you like ice cream save room for a treat at Mitchell's. The Abbey Road overlook is nearby and provides a good view of the downtown skyline. Also not too far from Ohio City is the house where A Christmas Story was filmed, although it may only be open during the holiday season. If you eat meat, try a Polish Boy. There's the Rock 'n' Roll Hall of Fame, of course. And the Cleveland Museum of Art which I think is fantastic. The Natural History Museum and Botnical Gardens are next to it. I haven't been to the Toledo Art Museum in decades,so I can't say which is better was there.
