A Brit's Thoughts on American Sports

I have a mixed record when it comes to learning the rules of American sports. On the one hand, Basketball is relatively straightforward; whereas American Football (or just football) seems to go to great pains to be as convoluted as humanly possible. Here is my take on the big three sports of the United States of America.

It's absolutely sick that Liberals in the Bush era and now once again were/are whining about big evil corporations not paying their fair share of taxes (ignoring their own kind) such as stadiums that have hundreds of millions out of sports that could go to helping the poor and homeless.

Money that could get us into space and have moon colonies. Money that could help us innovate with new energy techniques and perfect existing ones.

Money that could make the USA not depending on third world nations and actually help them. We can't even help ourselves now.
