I grew up knowing about Tea towels because they were embroidered by family members for presents and my grandma would crochet around the edges. In my now adult years, a tea towel is thinner than a dish towel and usually we only use it to clean our glasses with them because they are usually 100% cotton. A dish towel is usually a cotton blend and Terry cloth. I do love decorative tea towels.
